Sarah specialises in employment law. She advises clients in any employment matters and has appeared before Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal. She takes on matters on behalf of employees or employers, including on direct public access basis.
As a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association and of Advolex, Sarah has advised clients based in other European countries on English law. She also advises clients based in the UK in their respective language. For instance, she is featured on the list of German-speaking lawyers of the German Embassy in London.
Having gained experience in employment law on an international basis, Sarah is also able to advise in employment matters concerning France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Moreover, she is in contact with lawyers based in those countries who are able to provide further assistance.
Sarah is a regular speaker at chambers' seminars and at clients' in-house seminars. Moreover, she is regularly invited to speak at international events on English employment law in the respective language.
Sarah regularly undertakes pro bono work, particularly as a volunteer at the French legal advice clinic ("Consultations Gratuites") in Islington, the Islington Legal Advice Centre and the Latin American House in Kilburn.
She took her LLB at Queen Mary College in London and Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris. After call to the Bar, she passed an LLM by distance learning with distinction.
Sarah has undertaken several international work placements, most recently at Mayer Brown (Frankfurt), Hammonds Hausmann (Paris), Hammonds Rossotto (Rome), Hammonds (Madrid) and Carlos Aguiar, Ferreira de Lima & Associados (Lisbon).
